National targets

Reduce acidification
Air pollution (SO2, NOx, VOCs ammonia and particulate matter) will not cause health or environmental damage.

Reduce SO2 emissions
Annual emissions of sulphur dioxide (SO2) will be maintained at a level below 22 000 tonnes

Reduce NOx emissions
Annual emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) will not exceed 156 000 tonnes.

Reduce NMVOC emissions
Annual emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) will be maintained at a level below 195 000 tonnes. Annual emissions from the entire mainland and the Economic Zone of Norway south of 62˚ N will be maintained at less than 70% of the 1989 level (188 000 tonnes).

Reduce ammonia emissions
Annual emissions of ammonia (NH3) will be maintained at a level below 23 000 tonnes.
