Consumption of halons, all types of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), tetrachloromethane, methyl chloroform and hydrobromofluorocarbons (HBFCs) will be eliminated.

Are we moving in the right direction?

Imports of ozone-depleting substances to Norway, weighted according to the ozone-depleting potential of each substance (expressed in ODP tonnes), were reduced by more than 99 per cent in the period 1990-2009. This is mainly a result of reduced imports of halons and CFCs.
