Are we moving in the right direction?

Loss and damage is divided into two categories, legal and illegal. It is legal if an exemption under the Cultural Heritage Act has been granted for the activities that are liable to cause loss or damage.

In many cases, people fail to notify the authorities before starting activities that will disturb or damage cultural heritage sites that are protected by law. The cultural heritage authorities are trying to raise public awareness of the rules that apply to archaeological monuments and sites to prevent the uncontrolled loss of valuable elements of our cultural heritage.
